The talk these two days has been centred on the government's decision to reverse the teaching of Math and Science in English. Why am I not surprised with the decision? I wonder if they have really considered everything before making the decision. Oops...who am I to question them or their decision?
Or maybe the decision made was just to please certain quarters, though it has been stressed that it has nothing to do with the upcoming election at a certain state. Oopsie...here I go again, naughty me!
I don't see any reason why we have to reverse the teaching of the two subjects. If a person really wants to do well in something, I'm sure he or she would find all means to go for it and for the matter at hand, not just rely on the school and the government to spoon feed them. Sacrifices have to be made to attain success. If we don't have the initiative to better ourselves, then no amount of assistance can help us succeed. It all boils down to the attitude of the indivdual. As the Malay saying goes, kalau hendak seribu daya, kalau tak hendak seribu dalih.
